The Role

Digital Tonic are thrilled to be working with an incredible brand (who are a well known household name) in Bedford as they look for a Graduate to join them as their new Communications Coordinator.  They’re happy to look at someone with a relevant degree and a true passion for writing and comms, but equally happy considering someone who has 1-2 years’ professional experience and just looking to join an incredible company.

You will work within the Corporate Communications department working across both internal and external communications.  You will be promoting the brand and trying to change public perception by making people aware of the exceptional work that they do in areas of the business that they’re less known for.  You will send out weekly newsletters to employees and will manage the internal Intranet, you will write content for a number of channels including the website and social media channels and will be involved in supporting and coordinating events.

This is an exceptional place to shape your career.  There is a great Manager to learn from, and all you need to bring is a love of writing, and a willingness to throw yourself into different projects, and to have the confidence to speak with people at all levels across the business.  You will adopt a journalistic approach to hunt out stories to write and shout about!

Skills and Experience

• Holding a relevant degree i.e. English, Journalism, PR, Communications, Business etc
• A love and passion of writing and storytelling
• A genuine desire to have a career in Communications rather than Marketing
• Strong communicator and able to build relationships
• Confident to approach stakeholders at all levels of seniority
• Willing to throw yourself into the deep end and get involved

Benefits

There’s a very good starting salary on offer (£25k-£28k), a 10% bonus, hybrid working with 3 days in the office and 2 from home, good holiday and benefits, but essentially, this is just an incredible place to build and shape your career for a well known brand.
